27 April – Update

Alright! Time for a quick update from Lydia and Dennis!

Just back from a rather quiet but still productive weekend gardening session. Met a neighbor, Augustine, who was visiting the garden for the first time today. Hopefully we’ll see more of him, and everyone else, in the future!

We harvested the Gu Cai and cleaned what seemed to be giant mushroom spores off of them. The harvest was split between Steven and us. There are still some veges to spare, so neighbors who read this and want some, please don’t hesitate! Contact us (via Facebook/Whatsapp) and we can arrange something.

We also re-planted more corn kernels in a seedling tray and planted some marigold in six little pots now placed at the makeshift nursery.

The beans for the 3-sisters bed have sprouted. Hopefully the 2nd batch of corn seeds sprout soon!
